When Old Wounds Still Speak Loudly — The Spiritual Release That Restores Your Freedom

When Old Wounds Still Speak Loudly — The Spiritual Release That Restores Your Freedom

Have you ever thought you healed something years ago, only to have it roar back into your life at the worst possible moment? You’re moving along, life feels stable, and then a word, a memory, or a loss brings that old wound screaming to the surface. Suddenly, it’s louder than everything else.

If this has happened to you, hear me when I say this: you are not broken. You are human.

I recently had this experience when my father passed away. Out of nowhere, a deep hopelessness resurfaced—a feeling I thought I had already faced and moved through years earlier. Grief carries its own unique weight, but this was different. It was as if the loss tore open a wound that had been quietly tethered inside me since childhood.

For months, hopelessness haunted me. At times, I questioned why I was even here. The suicidal thoughts scared me, because I thought I was past all that. But what I’ve learned through this painful season is that emotional healing is not linear. It’s a spiral. Each time we revisit an old wound, we go deeper—not because we’ve failed, but because we’re ready to face more of the truth and release more of what has been holding us back.

The Spiral of Healing

We often talk about peeling the onion of personal growth—layer after layer until you get to the center. But beyond the onion is something even deeper: the rawness of who you really are. These wounds are not random. They are often tied to core memories, old agreements, or deep energetic imprints stored in our very cells.

When my father died, I realized how much of his energy still had a hold on me. As those cords began to loosen, emotions I didn’t even know were still inside me came bubbling up. And while the experience was terrifying, it was also liberating. Because on the other side of the spiral was freedom.

Facing the Emotions We Fear Most

Hopelessness is one of the most unbearable emotions we can face. It’s no wonder people feel crushed by it. But what I learned is that you can survive it—not by running from it, but by sitting with it. By asking: What do I need to see? What is still keeping me bound?

Our emotions tether us to this earth. They color our memories, shape our decisions, and keep us replaying the same patterns until we consciously choose to break free. That breaking free isn’t easy. It means going into the depths of your own hell and meeting yourself there. But when you do, you untether. You liberate yourself from the prison of your mind and the shackles of your past.

From Enslavement to Liberation

The truth is, we’ve all been enslaved—not just by systems or circumstances, but by the stories we tell ourselves. By the fear, shame, and unworthiness we carry inside. Real liberation begins when you stop feeding the old narratives and allow yourself to detach.

For me, that liberation has brought peace, clarity, and even prosperity. When I released my attachment to hopelessness, I noticed how much lighter and freer I became. Opportunities began flowing in, because I wasn’t blocking them with my pain anymore.

You Don’t Have to Do It Alone

Here’s the most important part: you don’t have to go through this process by yourself. I did much of it alone, and it nearly broke me. That’s why I’ve created The I AM the Light Sanctuary—a spiritual community designed to give you a safe space to heal, grow, and reconnect with who you truly are.

Inside, you’ll find tools, teachings, and practices that support your whole being—from essential oils and meditations to courses and prosperity guidance. But more importantly, you’ll find a community of people who understand. People who are untethering themselves, just like you.

The Next Step Toward Your Freedom

If you’re in a place where old wounds are speaking loudly again, know this: it isn’t a setback. It’s an invitation. You’re being called to go deeper, to release what no longer serves you, and to step into the freedom waiting on the other side.

To help you begin, I’ve created a free Light Activation Guide. It’s a simple but powerful resource to help you start shifting your energy and taking baby steps toward a new way of being. Sometimes, one small change—like waking up 15 minutes earlier to journal—can alter the trajectory of your life.

You don’t have to suffer in silence anymore. Reach out. Take the first step. The path to freedom starts with one decision: to face what hurts and let it transform you.
