When Life Hands You Lemons: How I Turned Setbacks Into a New Beginning

When Life Hands You Lemons: How I Turned Setbacks Into a New Beginning

Life has a way of surprising us — sometimes with joy, and sometimes with hard lessons. Over the past three weeks, I was forced to confront both. If you’ve been following my journey, you know I’ve been off the air, but what you may not know is how much those weeks have transformed me.

On June 23rd, I received an email from Brave TV — the platform that hosted my show for over two years — informing me that due to technical and financial difficulties, all shows were suspended. I had an uneasy feeling that something deeper was wrong, and my intuition was right. A week later, when I checked their website, I saw a message that Brave TV had permanently closed its doors.

It hit me like a punch to the gut. I was devastated. This show was my passion, my way of serving others, and my creative outlet. Suddenly it was gone — along with the team, the infrastructure, and the rhythm I’d built. At first, I was angry, confused, even depressed. I kept asking, Is this really happening?

But after the initial shock, I made a choice: I was not going to let this setback define me. I reminded myself that when Spirit closes one door, another opens — even if we can’t see it yet.

With support from a trusted mentor, I found clarity. I decided that The Journey of an Awakening Spirit was far from over. Not only would I continue the show — I would reimagine it.

Now, I’m excited to share what’s next. The show is coming back, live, every Tuesday at 4:00 PM Eastern. I’m moving to a 30-minute format, with extended time when guests join me. I’ve shifted my accounts to Buzzsprout, and I’m producing everything myself for now. I’ve even reconnected with an engineer from my Brave TV days to help me polish the technical side of things when needed.

Starting over is scary. I no longer have a network or a team behind me — it’s just me, my message, and you. But what I’ve discovered in these weeks is profound: I’ve taken down walls I didn’t even know I had. For the first time, I can truly see the numbers, the audience, and the real impact of what I do. Every download reminds me that someone out there needs to hear what I have to share.

This transition has also opened up new opportunities. I’ve begun creating a powerful meditation that helps people release old vows and stories around money and abundance. I’ve been invited to speak about aromatherapy on another podcast. And I’ve felt my intuition deepen as I embrace what’s ahead — even without knowing exactly where it leads.

I’ve learned that setbacks are often course corrections. They nudge us toward something better, something more aligned with who we are becoming. These past three weeks have reminded me of my own worth and how much I’ve grown since this journey began.

The truth is, I feel hopeful again — more hopeful than I’ve felt in months.

So, here’s my promise: I’m not going anywhere. I’ll keep showing up for you, sharing tools, insights, and encouragement to help you navigate your own awakening. Together, we’ll keep exploring what it means to step into your power, trust your inner wisdom, and embrace your magnificence.

Thank you for staying with me through this transition. Thank you for downloading my shows, for your patience, and for believing in the work we’re doing here.

Life may hand us lemons, but we always have the choice to make lemonade — and sometimes, it’s even sweeter than before.

Here’s to new beginnings.
