Feeling Lost on Your Spiritual Journey? Let’s Explore Together!

Feeling Lost on Your Spiritual Journey? Let’s Explore Together!

Spiritual awakening is often romanticized as a journey into light, peace, and clarity. But the truth? It can feel like you’re falling apart. And that’s not failure—it’s transformation.

In a recent episode of The Journey of an Awakening Spirit, I shared my personal path through the dark side of awakening, because so many of us are walking this road and wondering, “Am I broken?” No. You’re evolving.

When Awakening Feels Like Being Lost

There comes a point in your awakening journey where everything you thought you knew—about the world, about yourself—collapses. You might feel disconnected from the people around you. You might question your purpose, your past, even your sanity. I know I did.

When I wrote the Dancing Souls trilogy, I was deep in that space. I had done spiritual work before, but this was different. This was heavy, lonely, and raw. I felt like everything I had been told was a lie. I didn’t know who I was anymore. I wasn’t broken—I was shedding who I wasn’t.

That, my friend, is the soul's invitation.

The Pain Is Not the Problem—It's the Portal

We’re conditioned to avoid discomfort. But what if the emotional chaos is actually the gateway to freedom?

I experienced waves of grief, rage, shame, and deep sorrow. I felt like I was going backwards, like I was losing myself. But through it all, I began to reclaim parts of me I had lost—especially the joyful little girl I used to be before trauma silenced her.

The emotions were intense because they were lodged deep in my cells. Some of the deepest healing came from facing long-buried memories, like the trauma of childhood abuse that I had suppressed emotionally for decades. But as the rage surfaced and was released, my voice changed. My energy shifted. That, too, was awakening.

Tools for Navigating the Void

When you’re in the void—between who you were and who you’re becoming—it’s tempting to fill the silence. But silence is sacred. It’s where the whispers of your soul live.

Here are some tools that helped me find myself again:

  • Journaling – I wrote every day. My books were born from those pages. Even simple prompts like “Who am I becoming?” can unlock deep insight.

  • Nature – I grounded myself by walking among trees, hugging them, breathing deeply. Nature pulls the darkness out and returns calm.

  • Breathwork & Movement – Emotions are energy. Breathe, move, dance, stretch—just don’t let the pain stay stuck.

  • Listening – Your higher self, your spirit team, the Divine—they’re always speaking. Slow down enough to hear them.

  • Vibrational Healing – I used tuning forks, especially in water, to reconnect my nervous system and bring my body into harmony.

From Breakdown to Breakthrough

What I discovered is this: we are never truly lost. We are in transition. And transitions are messy. You may feel like a baby, learning to walk again emotionally, spiritually, even physically. That’s okay. That’s sacred.

You don’t have to do this alone. I created The Light Circle community for this very reason—to hold space for those walking the courageous path of healing. It’s not for those just beginning the journey—it’s for those who are in the thick of it and need real tools, not fluff.

You Are Not Broken—You Are Becoming

The awakening journey is one of unbecoming—releasing the lies, the shame, the conditioning—so you can remember the truth of who you are. You are whole. You always have been.

This is not the end of your story. This is the return to yourself.
